Compare AI agent platforms
Pick the comparison that matches your question. AAES writes these pages and sells a competing product; each vendor claim links to its source.
Already on Microsoft, Google, or AWS?
Comparing native agent control planesA short decision guide: what each platform’s own agent controls cover, and where AAES Govern adds credential custody, spending reserved before authorization, and records you can check offline.
Comparing several vendors in detail?

Looking for program-level AI governance?
Enterprise AI governance platformsIBM, Credo AI, Holistic AI, OneTrust, ServiceNow, and AAES Govern compared by governance function, from model inventories to action-level controls.
Start with one agent workflow
Write down the task your agent needs to complete, the applications it will use, and the actions that need a person’s approval. Use that workflow to compare products. A model inventory, an agent runtime and a control for individual tool calls answer different requirements; the linked guides explain which layer each reviewed product covers.
If your agents already run on Microsoft, Google or AWS, start with the native control planes guide. Use the detailed governance matrix when you need to inspect a specific requirement, such as credential custody or a task budget. The enterprise governance guide covers the wider program, including inventories and assessments.
Questions to take into an evaluation
- Which calls pass through the control, and can the agent reach the provider through another route? Identify who holds the downstream credentials.
- When approval is required, does it bind to the exact request? Change the request and check whether a new decision is required.
- When is spending reserved against the task budget? Distinguish authorization limits from final provider charges, and test retries and unavailable services.
- What can a reviewer establish from exported records? Check record integrity separately from evidence that an action happened or that every action was captured.
How to read the comparisons
Each article states its review scope and source dates. A capability described in vendor documentation has not necessarily been tested by AAES. When a row says a feature was not established in the reviewed sources, it means the review did not answer that question. Ask the vendor to demonstrate the behavior on your workflow.
For an AAES evaluation, use the product evaluation checklist to test allowed requests, refusals, approval expiry and service outages. The Evidence library explains the available records and their limits.
